Cable Management Systems for bicycles
An often overlooked detail, the guides that allow for internal routing of cables and hoses in bike frames have a lot of jobs to do. They must keep cables secure and free from rattling, keep the frame safe from scratches, keep water and dirt out of the frame, and be easy to install and remove for service.
Accomplishing all of those things well while keeping cost to a minimum is a challenge we handled for Marin Bikes.
Two versions of cable guides were created: A simple one-piece design, and a multi-material over-molded design for premium models. Both are in production starting with 2020 models.
Premium Cable Guides
a multi-material 2-shot molded part that has a secure connection with the bike frame, and soft elements that grip the cables and prevent any rattling while also sealing out the elements
